About the health check

Measures IgG antibodies against deamidated gliadin peptides (DGP-IgG). The test is used to detect an immune reaction to gluten and is particularly used when coeliac disease is suspected, especially in individuals with IgA deficiency.

Was it checked correctly for me?

Relevant if you have symptoms consistent with celiac disease but have normal or low IgA, or if transglutaminase IgA is negative despite continued suspicion. Can also be used in children and in cases of atypical symptoms.

Preparation for the test
Missing checks

DGP-IgG is less specific than transglutaminase-IgA and may be positive in other intestinal diseases. A positive result should always be evaluated in conjunction with other celiac disease markers and clinical findings.

Where can the test be taken?

Blood samples can be taken at the public hospitals we have agreements with.
At present, these are Herlev & Gentofte Hospital and the entire Region of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark Region, and North Denmark Region.
If you want to have free T3 measured, this can only be done in the Region of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark Region, and North Denmark Region.
In other words, not at Herlev & Gentofte Hospital.
