Vitamin D:
Measures the level of vitamin D in the blood (25-hydroxyvitamin D), which is the best indicator of the body's vitamin D status. Vitamin D is important for bones, muscles, the immune system, and general health.

Fast for 8–12 hours for the most accurate triglyceride and blood sugar values (water is allowed).

Avoid alcohol the day before.

Cholesterol and blood sugar levels can be affected by diet, fasting, and stress leading up to the test. The numbers indicate risk but are not a diagnosis in themselves.
