About the health check

Measures PSA, a protein produced in the prostate. Elevated levels can be seen with benign enlargement, inflammation, or prostate cancer. Used as a marker for prostate health.
Was it checked correctly for me?

The test is relevant for men who want to check prostate health, especially if you have a family history of prostate cancer, are over 50 years old, or experience symptoms such as frequent urination, weak urine stream, or nighttime urination.

PSA is non-specific and can be elevated without cancer (e.g., due to benign enlargement or infection). A normal PSA also does not rule out prostate cancer. Results must be interpreted in conjunction with age, symptoms, and any further examinations.
Where can the test be taken?

Blood samples can be taken at the public hospitals we have agreements with.
At present, these are Herlev & Gentofte Hospital and the entire Region of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark Region, and North Denmark Region.
If you want to have free T3 measured, this can only be done in the Region of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark Region, and North Denmark Region.
In other words, not at Herlev & Gentofte Hospital.
