Measures methylmalonate (MMA) in the blood, a metabolite that increases during functional B12 deficiency. MMA is the most precise marker for B12 deficiency at the tissue level, even when serum B12 is normal.

Where can the test be taken?
Blood samples can be taken at the public hospitals we have agreements with.
At present, these are Herlev & Gentofte Hospital and the entire Region of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark Region, and North Denmark Region.
If you want to have free T3 measured, this can only be done in the Region of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark Region, and North Denmark Region.
In other words, not at Herlev & Gentofte Hospital.
