Measures pyridoxal phosphate (active B6) in the blood. Vitamin B6 is essential for amino acid metabolism, homocysteine breakdown, neurotransmitter formation, and immune function.

Plasma levels can be affected by inflammation (falling as a negative acute phase reaction) and do not always reflect the body's real stores. Excess from long-term high-dose supplementation can paradoxically cause neuropathy. Response time may be longer.
Where can the test be taken?

Blood samples can be taken at the public hospitals we have agreements with.
At present, these are Herlev & Gentofte Hospital and the entire Region of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark Region, and North Denmark Region.
If you want to have free T3 measured, this can only be done in the Region of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark Region, and North Denmark Region.
In other words, not at Herlev & Gentofte Hospital.
