Measures the amount of the enzyme creatine kinase in the blood. A marker of strain or damage to the muscles, including the heart muscle.

Relevant if you train intensely and want to monitor the strain on your muscles, experience muscle pain or weakness without a clear cause, or want to monitor muscle effects during medical treatment such as statins.

P-creatine kinase [CK]

Elevated CK can be caused by much more than muscle damage from exercise, including an underactive thyroid, stroke, cancer, autoimmune conditions, and heart attacks, so an elevated level alone does not point to a specific explanation. Low values have no clinical significance. Rarely, complexes of creatine kinase and immunoglobulins can cause a persistently slightly elevated level without any real impact on your health.

Blood samples can be taken at the public hospitals we have agreements with.
At present, these are Herlev & Gentofte Hospital and the entire Region of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark Region, and North Denmark Region.
If you want to have free T3 measured, this can only be done in the Region of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark Region, and North Denmark Region.
In other words, not at Herlev & Gentofte Hospital.
