About the health check

Test preparation

Take the sample in the morning (7–10 AM), but you must have been awake for 2 hours before taking the sample.

Note: Hormone levels may vary by cycle.
When in the cycle should I take the test?

For a general overview of hormones, days 2–5 of the cycle are recommended (early follicular phase).

To assess ovulation and progesterone, the sample is recommended around day 21 (for a 28-day cycle).

If you have an irregular cycle, the timing can be adjusted according to what you wish to investigate.
The Czech Republic's shortcomings

Female hormones vary with the cycle and can be affected by contraception or pregnancy. The test provides a snapshot and should be interpreted in relation to cycle day and symptoms.
Where can I take the test?

Blood tests can be taken at public hospitals with which we have agreements.
Currently, these are Herlev & Gentofte Hospital and the entire Region of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark Region, and North Denmark Region.
If you want to have free T3 measured, this can only be done in the Region of Southern Denmark, Central Denmark Region, and North Denmark Region.
Thus, not at Herlev & Gentofte Hospital.
